There is a lot of emotion tied into their pieces and it can become a great tool for wellness, if it is properly channelised. Art therapy is a psychological approach that utilises the creative process of making art to explore emotions, improve self-awareness, and promote psychological healing and wellbeing.
In sessions led by trained art therapists, individuals use various art materials such as paints and collage to express themselves freely without the constraints of verbal language. Through the act of creating art, individuals can externalise their internal experiences, allowing for reflection and processing of emotions that may be difficult to articulate verbally.
