Coronary Angioplasty And Advanced Interventional Procedures |
Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA) is a minimally invasive, non-surgical procedure for opening up narrowed arteries. It involves the use of a flexible catheter with a balloon at the tip, which, when inflated under pressure, forces the arterial plaque against the blood vessel and improves the blood flow to the heart muscle. PTCA is usually combined with implantation of a stent in the clogged artery to decrease the chance of re-blockage. |

Exclusive 'Stent-Booster' Software for enhanced imaging, precision of stent positioning and deployment and therefore, patient safety. Our state-of-the-art Cath Lab operates at less than half the radiation dosage of traditional Cath labs. This is of vital importance in Pediatric procedures and lengthy interventions in adults, where radiation is a major concern. The alternative for such patients would be open surgery. |

Rotablation'an interventional procedure that is technically very demandingwhich allows us to deal with very hard and calcified blockages without open surgery, which otherwise is the only option. |
ASD / VSD / PD closures in adults and paediatric patients without major Open Heart surgery are carried out using special minimally invasive technology and closure devices. We are able to close holes and rectify defects in the heart, for which, most other centers choose Open Heart surgery. |
Angioplasty significantly relieves symptoms associated with blocked arteries, such as chest pain and shortness of breath. Successful angioplasty also means that you have avoided open heart Bypass Surgery. |

At the Advanced Cardiac Care Center at Jehangir Hospital we specialise in difficult interventions like: |
Reopening of totally blocked blood vessels |
Blockages at the bifurcation of major arteries |
Multi-vessel blockages in high-risk patients. |
| Other Routinely Done Non-Surgical Interventions: |
| Coronary Procedures - SVG Angioplasty, Clot extraction, Distal Protection Devices, Stenting of Co-arctation of Aorta, Rotational Thrombectomy, implantation of Pacemaker, Heart Failure Device and AICD, Septal Alcohol Ablation, Peripheral Interventions. |
